PD Dr. Dr. A.-F. Safi is a passionate surgeon and scientist at the same time. As a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery (FMH) and a specialist in oral surgery (SSO), he has trained at leading international surgical centers, including Harvard University in the USA (Division of Plastic Surgery), the Cleveland Clinic (Division for Facial Plastic Surgery), Tokyo Medical University (Department for Maxillofacial Surgery), Cologne University Hospital (Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery), Inselspital Bern (Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery) and one of Europe's leading private clinics for facial surgery, the Klinik Professor Sailer in Zurich. His constant motivation to research and apply innovative, modern treatment principles in maxillofacial surgery is underpinned by his extensive scientific research in this field, which has made him the author of almost 100 scientific articles.
